Andrew Pierce and Ashley Hudson knew that there would be no turning back once they got together in the Hamburg church. Ashley was 17 and had never had a boyfriend so the two took things really slow. It was love at first sight. Andrew prayed at New Year's Eve, right prior to the start of the year in 2016, praying that God would give him one last blessing in the year. That Ashley would marry him. Ashley had always wanted the wedding with a folk-inspired wooden theme to symbolize Andrew as well as her. In order to create the perfect wedding, they chose to incorporate elements of everything they cherish. Ashley was born in a 40-acre farm. Ashley enjoyed playing and exploring throughout the entire land, even the trails they had walked to get there. Andrew and Ashley walked through the same space when they began dating. The groom and bride did most of the DIY and personalizing the wedding is crucial. Andrew and Ashley's father built the seating areas and an arch to be used during the wedding ceremony. Ashley painted many of the decorations. Ashley declares, "Our wedding would not be the magical experience I've always dreamed of were Anna's gorgeous flower arrangements hadn't been created."
